Cities are formed to the same degree of ideas as of things; in any case, most of the time both are products of unintended consequences. One of these unintended consequences, I like to think, is the freedom that a pedestrian experiences, derived from the symptom of joy when one turns around and identifies oneself with something one like. By this philosophy is that Alone, the street lighting means to bring freedom and happiness to the city.
